The student body has cast their ballots and the TWUSA faculty and class representative positions were filled as followed: Kat Campbell, Natural Applied Sciences; Samantha Lowe, Humanities and Social Sciences; Matthew Pasiuk, Business; Lisa-Joy Lindahl, Professional Studies and Performing Arts; Ashley Setter, Education. Wesley Armstrong won the Senior Representative position, while Alicia Marshall will represent the Junior class.
Low voter turn-out and minimal competition marked the elections. Most of the positions were unrivaled, and the representatives agreed that students were not prompted to vote because of the lack of competition.

Five hundred hungry African children will be well-fed this school year, thanks to the efforts of one Trinity Western faculty member. Stan Remple, Director of the Master of Arts in Leadership (MAL) program, has raised over $18,000 for a school lunch program in Nairobi that gives impoverished kids a chance to eat one hearty meal every day they attend school.
The program started when TWU teamed up with Pan-African Christian University in Nairobi to bring the MAL program to African students who could not afford to come overseas to Canada. While Remple was in Nairobi helping to implement the program, he saw first-hand the devastating conditions faced by families living in the slums.

This reading break, over 120 students and staff traveled to Canada, the United States, and Ethiopia to serve others in need. This was the largest number ever to go on missions trips during the week-long break from classes.
The trips focused on the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief effort, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, inner-city ministry in Chicago, and assisting various social justice support groups in Ethiopia.
One team stayed in Covington, LA, traveling across Lake Pontchartrain everyday to gut houses located in St. Bernard’s Parish of New Orleans, clean up the garbage that covers many of the city streets, and remove fallen trees from properties.
