TWUSA fee raised by $5

After going ten years without raising student fees, Trinity Western University’s Student Association has decided that the time has come to increase them. TWUSA will increase student fees by $5 per student, beginning this Spring semester.

Trinity Western University’s current composting site is at 57 Acres, across from Glover Road. Due to frequent composting, however, it will be moved to a new location between Seal Kap and the Norma Alloway Library beginning in 2010.


Conductor explains Christmas at the Chan Centre’s popularity amongst another sellout

Tickets for the Trinity Western University Choir’s “Christmas at the Chan Centre” were on sale in September, and not long after were sold out. The highly anticipated concert will take place at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts on Sunday, Dec. 6. Wes Janzen, conductor and music professor at TWU, will lead the TWU choir. The concert will also include the Langley Fine Arts School Senior Choir, with Jim Sparks directing, and the Pacific Mennonite Children’s Choir, with Kim Janzen and Sonja Fast directing. In addition, there will be symphonic carol arrangements, Christmas carol sing-a-longs, and Bach Christmas highlights. The sold out concert is expected to be a seasonal delight.


“Find your fit” at TWU’s second career fair

Trinity Western University’s second annual Career Fair themed “Find Your Fit” will take place next semester on Jan. 21 at 11:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Hosting the event are the Career Development & Career Experience Offices, with assistance from the Alumni department. Last year the event was a huge success, boasting 45 employers and the attendance of hundreds of TWU students. This success last year called for a move to a bigger location: the Enarson Gymnasium. This event is designed for students that want to learn more about the workforce or find employment that fits them, regardless of major or year.

Students take on Arizona with Habitat for Humanity

Fourteen members of Trinity Western University’s Outdoor Club headed to Phoenix, Arizona in November to build five townhouse garages with Habitat for Humanity – and then they hiked the Grand Canyon.
