Dear Editor,
The “environment” is a hot topic today. Most people, whether Christian or not, agree that the environment is suffering and that we are not looking after it as we should. We urge citizens, corporations and governments to treat the environment with more care and respect.
Christianity, like any large group, has more than its fair share of subcultures. Attending public schools my entire life, and finding kids I would meet at youth group weird and socially inept, I was resigned to be the only Christian in my groups of friends growing up. I was quite fine with this – not because it gave me the chance to evangelize my friends – but instead because I was stricken with fear of becoming like those odd kids I’d see at church.
On March 11th, a one-time faculty workshop was held at TWU to discuss the use of laptops in classrooms.
Trinity Western University’s Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications (BACC) degree is now before the Minister of Education, ready for approval and could be offered as early as this fall. Dr. Bill Strom, a Department of Communications professor, first identified a need for such a program in 2007, after thoroughly reviewing programs offered, and surveying many graduates.
It is true that the Laurentian Leadership Centre building might be sold in a “friendly sale.”
Over spring break, several students gave up a relaxing week at home to serve with their hands. Andrea Smith, a Trinity Western University student, co-led a group of 10 students to San Francisco. Smith says this eye-opening experience puts into perspective one’s life circumstance.
It is that time of the semester when students are stressed with research papers and projects, but Alloway Library plans on making life a little easier.
