Much like an island of sirens, Eisley draws my ears, heart, and mind closer and closer with the irresistible charm of their music. Three sisters, a brother, and a best friend come together to create Eisley, a one of a kind band that delves into the depths of imagination and creativity. Growing up in a large family, they learned how to play instruments in their Vineyard church’s worship team.
The appeal of this band lies in their ability to allow fans to identify with them. They are wise, humble teens with angst and problems like the rest of us, and this is expressed in their music. Their first full-length album, Room Noises, has eight new songs and four others from past EPs. Room Noises is not only just as good as their original EPs, it is the concentration of their musical and lyrical strengths. From the rockabilly surf soundings of “Golly Sandra” to the acoustic harmonizing of “Just Like We Do,” this album has a wide range of sounds and styles while still staying true to the Eisley elegance.
Three of the four older tracks found on Room Noises are re-recorded for the new album. “Telescope Eyes” in particular has been made considerably more radio worthy, which is why it is not surprising that it is their first single.
I constantly find my visual mind transforming the words and imagery of Room Noises into elaborate stories. This band’s mysterious blend of innocence and wisdom is expressed with each new song.
