Unfortunately, I left out a key qualifier on point #3 that I'd like to add in just to make sure I'm not being misunderstood here.

I'm not suggesting that TWU has been divorcing the life of faith and the life of the mind by "divvying" up responsibilities to different departments. What I am saying is that I hope for a deeper integration between the various groups on campus that are responsible for spiritual and theological development. In other words, we cannot let our selves divorce the life of the mind and the life of faith and this may happen if different departments are given those sole responsibilities. I'm suggesting that we make sure that we don't perpetuate the false dichotomies between heart and head, faith and reason, vibrant faith and rigorous intellect that have so often been encouraged in some churches. I don't think you can have one without the other (it goes both ways).

Hopefully that clears #3 up.

Fantastic stuff Ryan! Could this be the beginning of a renewed statement of faith?

I’m looking forward to TWU’s own theological journal. When do you plan on launching it?

I say we get together and picket in front of the caf until administration makes RELS 160 part of the core. It's time students take a stand for their faith. What type of Christian university makes philosophy mandatory and not theology?

How do I become part of this ecumenical reading group?
