The Bargainhunterz vs: the cinemas

Most middle class North Americans love to go to the cinemas; the Bargainhunterz are no exception. Alas, like most students, we don’t have the funding to afford $12.50 for a ticket to see the latest blockbuster film at the local cineplex. As bargainhunterz, we have a strict code of honour and therefore cannot sneak in or dodge the ushers to scam us a free film. There are bargains, and then there is thievery.

When you are on a budget there is no need to take unnecessary risks in your entertainment schedule. As frugal citizens, we have little discretionary income to squander on presumably terrible films such as Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole. Uncertainty is expensive.

As enemies of excess and expense, we were delighted to discover that Cineplex Odeon is offering a moviegoer’s dream. You will experience not only a first class film, but at a very affordable price. The Classic Film Series picks one film and screens it on two nights per month for a charge of only five dollars.

The schedule is included below, and will be featured at every Cineplex Theatres across Canada, including Colossus Langley.

With the promise of a first rate film for a third rate price, there is no reason not to grab a date and enjoy a classic (unless you are dying of scurvy, but that’s a pirate disease, and you’re no pirate).
