Grade: B+

London born Kieran Hebden, also known as downtempo electro musician Four Tet, has just released There Is Love In You. This album is solid and would provide an excellent background for homework or reading. Make no mistake, this music is not intended to be a fist pumping energy mix; it instead slips nicely into the background, like a mellowed, electro Sigur Rós. This sort of music is not intended to fill a slot on Ryan Seacrest’s Top 40, but will lovingly accompany you as you fall asleep; not that it’s boring, but that it’s soothing.
You should not be surprised if you hear any of these tracks in the background of a film; it’s really nice, but not jarring. Really solid, memorable loops make There is Love In You a strong album.
