Jonathan edwards and the bible

I continue to be fascinated with Jonathan Edwards. This book is a great way to be introduced to this great 18th century American preacher and theologian. As a historical study in biblical interpretation, Brown’s novel is a helpful primer to a more complete understanding of the context in which Jonathan Edwards wrote his massive body of work (over 1200 sermons). As such, the book exposes some of the struggles Edwards had, anticipates the critical questions of the day, but remains faithful to Scripture. It will prove to be fruitful reading.
