Most sports don’t, but some do. How simple and boring a product is can be measured by the amount of sexuality and other unrelated things it uses to sell itself. Take North-American football for example. You have a limited list of short plays which can either go right or wrong, assembled in random order between long periods of contemplation. It is only natural to fill the gaps with skin tight dancing females and a whole lot of commercials.
