By Seth Oglesby At the end of September 2006, ten female Trinity Western University students will shave their heads in order to raise awareness and money for three non-profit organizations, said first-year student Monique Lyon-Summerfield, who is heading up the event.
The girls, Holly Mikesh, Erika Jacobson, Merissa Doherty, Kristina Pfiffner, Carmel Gregory, and four others who have yet to volunteer, will spend the summer raising money for the International Justice Mission, non-profit organizations Invisible Children and Watoto Child Care Ministries.
And come Fall semester, everything will come off.

By Grace McKeown All you need is love. This seems to be the recent motto of Trinity Western University students as more and more couples get engaged. And why shouldn’t they? The weather is getting warmer, the trees are budding, and the clouds are slowly dispersing. It’s the “ring by spring” phenomena, and it’s in full effect.
Roughly 30 Trinity couples got engaged this year, and one couple even got pre-engaged. Local jewelers have reported a 15 percent increase in sales due to the spring season and they keep rising.

By Dear Nurse Rita,
Are there any simple tips to improve skin problems, such as acne?
Signed,
Noxzema Queen
Dear Queen,
Great question! Skin is your body’s largest organ; it regulates your body’s temperature and protects your vital organs – so we better pay a little more attention and take care of it.
• Eat a balanced diet from ALL four major food groups.
• Drink lots of water (at least ten cups a day).
• Exercise regularly (to increase blood flow to the skin).
• Wash your skin (especially face and neck regularly with warm water and mild
soap). This removes excess oil, bacteria, and dead skin.

By Angela Wiebe New York. Paris. Sydney. Wherever the destination may be, traveling is fast becoming a rite of passage for most university students.
Not only does exploring other parts of the world provide students with excitement and intrigue, it also offers different perspectives and cultures to learn from.
At Trinity Western University, students are given several traveling options each summer that also provide course credit.
This year, as the majority of the TWU student body heads home, a select group of about 90 will be gallivanting off to places as far away as Guatemala, Kenya, and China, or to a destination not so distant like Salt Spring Island.

By Alison Fraser As his presidential term ends, Dr. Neil Snider will say goodbye, at least for a time, to the students and staff of Trinity Western University, which he has served for the past 32 years.
From the beginning of his presidency in 1974, Dr. Snider had a vision for the school to become a “first class institution, one that is unapologetically and passionately Christian.” He wanted for the school “to be like Daniel, standing tall in the midst of culture.”

By Aimee Komant On her knees, hidden behind her chair, prostrate before God, sobs wracked through her body. “God, take it away, take it away, take it away,” was all she could manage through the tears. Hair, clothes, Kleenex, and mucus became enmeshed as Erin broke down before her Maker once again.
Feeling the heavens close above, she slid from her knees to her side, curling into the fetal position in a desperate attempt to block out the devastating thoughts invading her mind.
“You can’t feel like this,” one voice proclaimed indignantly, “you’re a Christian!”

By Matt Senft Props on winning ACP of the year award. We’ve been close before. Congratulations on this incredible achievement. It goes to show the strength of the Mars’ Hill that year after year we keep building on our successes and achieving greater things.

By Kelley Abercrombie I am a University of Alberta Grad Student, and obviously a Golden Bears fan. I just wanted to log-on to offer the Spartans a hearty congratulations.
You all played very well and worked together brilliantly. I also agree with awarding you the Fair Play Award. TWU has a lot to be proud of. For a university with such a small population to draw on, it is amazing that you compete so well at the CIS level. Your victory put the icing on the cake.
