CCR: part VI

CCR TIMELINE

Part 1 – The Origin: The good Dr. Malleus Mimms gets in a terrible car crash that leaves him crippled and bitter. He plans to build a robot body that will allow him to destroy the earth.

Part 2 – Pon (Mimm’s lab assistant) begins the transferring process but a police task force explodes the lab and fills Pon with bullet holes. CCR rises from the ashes and murders the task force.

Part 3 – CCR meets a crazy hobo who introduces himself as Norton Von Eeten Peterson. CCR transforms the hobo into a monster, then kills him. CCR finds a D-Force badge on the dead hobo. He gets dizzy and passes out.

Part 4 – The unconscious CCR is captured by Robo-Robo, another evil robot. They plan together to destroy the world, so they go to the airport. Robo-Robo still doesn’t trust CCR, so he gives him a danger-less body.

At the airport, the robots buy two tickets to Afghanistan. Robo-Robo gets on the flight, but CCR is captured by the real Norton Von Eeten Peterson, leader of an organization called D-Force.

Norton Von Eeten Peterson went on to explain that while CCR had been imprisoned for the past month, Robo-Robo had destroyed Afghanistan and many of the surrounding countries. He was obliterating the globe without mercy and seemingly for no reason at all. Peterson began to weep as he disclosed the statistics of Robo-Robo’s carnage.

“He killed over 70% of the world’s population, CCR. 70 billion people! *sniffle* There’s only 30 billion left.”

CCR was in awe. 70 billion murders, he thought to himself, What a hero. CCR started weeping as well, but out of joy. He needed to find a way out of Norton Von Eeten Peterson’s grasp so he could help Robo-Robo annihilate the human race. Fortunately, he was a great liar.

“Robo-Robo is a monster,” CCR lied. “Give me a warrior’s body and send me to Afghanistan. I will ride out and meet him. Then, look to my coming at first light on the fifth day. Look to the east. And my axe! You shall not pass! The finest weed in all the shire…” After a few minutes, CCR realized that he was just yelling out random quotes from The Lord of the Rings, so he stopped talking. “Also, I want wings.”

“Crippled, Crippled Robot,” Norton Von Eeten Peterson said, “The Netherlands is all that’s left of the modern world and we need you to be our saviour. Robo-Robo is a wild storm of death; a storm so powerful that you are the only one who can calm it.”

Suddenly, everything came rushing back to CCR. Calm it… comet… Hayley’s Comet… Hailie is Slim Shady’s daughter… Slim Shady is Eminem… Eminem means M+M… M+M stands for Malleus Mimms!

“Malleus Mimms! That was my name once! I was a doctor!” He reflected for a long moment. “There was an explosion. I killed those babies. I lost my wife.”

Norton Von Eeten Peterson was beaming. “Be thrilled, Dr. Mimms! Your wife is fine – we were able to save her. The babies survived the crash as well, but they were later cooked and eaten by Robo-Robo.”

“That fiend!” Dr. Mimms shrieked. “Soon he will be a fiend of the grave! I will kill him, cook him, and eat him, just as he has done to others. The time for his comeuppance is at hand. Take me to my new body, Norton. I will fight for the Dutch”

Dr. Mimms felt majestic in his new body. He was sleek and aerodynamic. He had feathery wings and razor-sharp talons. His limbs and torso were made up of osmium, one of the densest and most resilient metals in the world. His skin was coated with Teflon to ensure a no-stick surface.

“Your body will be powerful enough to destroy Robo-Robo, but we didn’t want you to be as soulless and cold as he is, so instead of robotic wings and appendages, we gave you those of a bird. We want you to soar to our freedom.”

“Thank you,” Dr. Mimms replied. He tried to walk toward N.V.E.P. but he stumbled and fell. The talons made it difficult to walk. He would need to practice before fighting Robo-Robo. He stood up on wobbly talons and faced Norton. “Back when I was CCR, I murdered you. I saw your badge. What happened?”

“That badge was a tracking device,” N.V.E.P. answered. “We planted it on Robo-Robo’s hobo, hoping that it would lead us to him. But we were too late. He killed so many people.”

“And I helped him,” Dr. Mimms mused sorrowfully. “I feel a guilt that cannot be forgiven; a weight that cannot be lifted. I will train with my new body and kill Robo-Robo. You have my word: the Dutch will once again rule the earth.”

Even as Crippled Crippled Robot/CCR/Michael/Dr. Malleus Mimms said those words, he felt a rumbling in the earth. The walls were shaking. The glass of water on the table was trembling. CCR lost his balance again and fell down. The whole building shook and shuddered as alarms and sirens began to blare. The world around them got louder and louder as if the apocalypse was at hand. The madness grew and grew and grew until suddenly everything stopped. There was a long moment of deafening silence. A plaque that said IF YOU AIN’T DUTCH, YOU AIN’T MUCH fell off the wall and shattered. CCR and Peterson exchanged a glance. Once again, the silence gave way to madness and whole building exploded outwardly in different directions.

They were trapped at the epicenter.

Robo-Robo had arrived.

Will CCR kill Robo-Robo and save the day? Will he die in the process?

Will Robo-Robo destroy the rest of world and establish a robot utopia?

Is Dr. Mimms actually noble again or is CCR really working with Robo-Robo?
