Where you’ve seen her: Warmly greeting you as you enter the bookstore and helping you out with any of your bookstore needs.
Mars’ Hill: How long have you been working at TWU?
Naomi Unrau: On Dec. 1 it’ll be 11 years. I did work at TWU for this one time before: I tiled and grouted the floor from in front of the Student Life office to the Atrium with my husband.
MH: What’s your favourite book?
NU: My latest favourite book is Three Cups of Tea, which is a true story about a man who starts up schools in Afghanistan.
MH: What did you do before coming to TWU?
NU: I was the manager for Fanny’s Fabrics in Abbotsford and I also tiled with my husband for a whole year.
MH: Where is the best place that you have been?
NU: My most favourite place would be Durban, South Africa. I traveled around Africa, to Swaziland and that area, but Durban is my favourite place.
MH: Do you have any advice for students?
NU: I think a smile is free but it’ll cost you everything. It takes a lot to do that, people need it, but they forget to use it. There are a lot of other things too, but it’s one of those things that is really important.
