Dear Ashley, Issue 4
Dear Ashley,
There is a boy in my class who I like. In a special way. We get along really well and we hang out all the time. The only problem is that he is always flirting with our professor. When I am trying to cozy up to him in class, he only has eyes for her. He is constantly trying to impress her by answering all the questions she asks, and he’s always trying to show her how mature he is with his witty adult sense of humour. Every time we go to class, it’s like I don’t even exist anymore. What should I do, Ashley? Should I just start flirting with another one of our professors to make him jealous? Do I even have a chance with this guy?
Sincerely,
Apparently Too Young For Him

Dear Apparently Too Young For Him,
Believe it or not, this happens to me all of the time. It’s about that time of the year when you realize you’re not going to get the “A” you so desperately need without a little extra effort. That’s where the flirting comes in. I make a special point to flirt with all of my professors, and I currently hold a 3.8 GPA (clearly my flirting techniques don’t work on everyone).
Seriously, though, this guy is probably just trying to get into grad school. Don’t sweat it.
Ashley Kilian
