Mars’ Hill is the Greatest

March 23, 2006

Hey Mars’ Hill people. You’re the greatest– at least according to the Associated Collegiate Press “Newspaper of the Year” folk– and according to me, too! The Mars’ Hill is just an all around very fine student publication with a very good sense of self and of mission. It’s substantial without being self-important. It’s got sufficient quirk to be hip without crossing the line to mindless stupidity. Mars’ Hill embodies an integrated approach to Christian living that, by my lights, reflects the best of what a TWU education has to offer. The layout’s great, the editorial and investigative writing really great, and I honestly look forward to reading each issue. And we (the ACPN and me!) aren’t alone. Paul Wells, one of Canada’s foremost political journalists, gave the Mars’ Hill an “honourable mention” as one of the best student newspapers in the country (in his blog Inkless Wells). Keep up the great work!
