TWU media win design awards

Trinity Western University’s newspaper, Mars’ Hill, and yearbook, Pillar, were both the recipients of the College Media Advisers 14th annual Best of Collegiate Design awards recently.

The Oct. 19, 2005 edition of the Mars’ Hill, dubbed ‘The Money Issue,’ received third place in the Front Page Weekly category. The issue was co-designed by former Mars’ Hill Visual Editor Zach Bulick and Layout Editor Robyn Grant.

Last year’s Pillar, co-designed by TWU grads Andrea Bonilla and Leah Albertson, also took home two prizes. The yearbook won first prize in the Student Life Spread category for pages 36-37, and fifth prize in the Division Page category for pages 124-125.

“TWU’s Student Media is making its mark among colleges and universities across America through this design competition,” said Student Media Advisor Audrey Martin. “I’m proud of what both Mars’ Hill and the Pillar consistently accomplish.”
