Four more TWUSA members elected
Two weeks ago, polls were opened for students to vote for TWUSA representatives. A record breaking number of voters cast their votes in the bi-elections, which elected four winners to the then-unfilled spots on the TWUSA council. Meet your new TWUSA representatives:
Brittany Gainer – Performing Studies and Professional Arts Representative – Theatre major
Kristi Rapoza – Junior Class Representative – Business major (Pre-Law)
Peter Horton – Freshman Class Representative – International Studies major
Danielle Rainsford – Education Representative – Education major
What does Students First mean to you?
Gainer: It means being able to get the students opinions and find out what they are looking for in their university education and to benefit everybody.
Rapoza: It means taking every student’s considerations into what we are planning for them and that each of their opinions matter.
Horton: Students are priority and I am here for students and to serve them in whatever way they want me to.
Rainsford: The most important part of my job is to make sure that student’s needs are met first.
What can you bring as a new elected member of TWUSA?
Gainer: I have a passion for the arts, theatre, communications and film. I feel that I could help people feel more connected and have the most out of their experience here.
Rapoza: I’d say creativity and determination; to make sure that the new ideas do go through and that they are enjoyable.
Horton: I like to be crazy spirited, orientate events and have a fun time.
Rainsford: I hope to bring a positive energy to the school and council.
What country would you visit before graduating?
Gainer: I really want to go to France.
Rapoza: It’d be Greece.
Horton: Probably Southeast Asia.
Rainsford: Montreal.
