Students give their TWU education another A+

In case you’ve missed the countless banners put up across campus in the last week, Trinity Western University has received its fourth straight A+ in quality of education from The Globe and Mail’s annual university report card.

TWU is especially excited about this distinction as they are the only Canadian university to score an A+ for four years in a row in this category.

The Globe’s annual report ranks universities across Canada in various categories and organizes them in terms of a school’s size. The positive publicity from the Globe and Mail comes after TWU was ranked #1 in Canada by MacLean’s magazine for an “enriching educational experience.”

According to its website, the report presents the latest “results of student satisfaction surveys.” Results are calculated by what students have thought about their university— and clearly TWU students have a high opinion of their quality of education.

TWU President Dr. Jonathan Raymond said that the results came as “no surprise” as TWU is “all about high quality, continuous improvement, intentional design and strategic positioning for student
success.”

Besides an A+ in quality of education, TWU also fared well in other categories earning A+’s in most satisfied students, quality of teaching and campus atmosphere.

The report wasn’t all good news though. TWU continued to struggle in other categories, receiving a D in food services and a C in environmental commitment.

But of all the results from the Globe’s university report card, which was most disappointing? TWU earned a D in campus pubs and bars—continuing a long stint of bad grades in
this category.
