Car Crashes into LLC
March 8, 2006
The Laurentian Leadership Centre (LLC), Trinity Western University’s extension campus in Ottawa is a bit shaken, but undamaged after being hit by an allegedly stolen vehicle driven by two men apparently under the influence of alcohol.
The accident occurred Wednesday, February 1, when “a car collided with a second vehicle at the intersection on the southeast corner of the LLC building,” said Mark Lott, the LLC Community Life coordinator.
Robyn Grant, an LLC student, heard the car hit the building and ran outside to help the occupants escape the car. But she was frightened off when one of the men “started screaming obscenities and waving a beer bottle around.”
“He was charging at me and some of the other people who came to help, but basically just stumbling,” said Grant.
Lott alerted the RCMP after being informed about the incident.
“Unfortunately,” he said, “the two suspects had fled the scene” before the RCMP could arrive.
According to Grant, police found a bag of prescription medication with the names of the men on them.
“Luckily,” Grant said, “no one was hurt and everyone involved ended up safe. Even though we didn’t catch the bad guys, it’s at least not a horrible ending.”
Now you go...
