Jacob Doerksen might have been the best player in the history of Trinity Western University Men’s basketball. The biggest question heading into this season was how the Spartans would transition and move on without the former Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s Most Outstanding Player and...
Spartans remain perfect

After a long semester of play, the Trinity Western University Men’s volleyball team took their talents on the road for one last weekend of play before the Christmas break. Playing at the Tournament Capital Center in Kamloops, the Spartans looked to improve to a perfect 10-0 on the year against the Thompson Rivers University Wolf pack, and with two decisive wins last weekend against University of British Columbia Okanagan, the Spartans seemed poised to do just that. The weekend series began with a match Friday night, and would prove to be one of the toughest games the Spartans played all semester....

After an extremely successful CIS gold-medal winning season for the Spartans Men’s volleyball team, They began its title defense last weekend. In four previous away games before the home opener, the men’s team had no problems defeating Saskatchewan and Brandon on the road, with their defense coming into the spotlight, and out blocking their opponents while their offense out hit their opponents in all four...

Sick of my sisters’ hand me downs, I was finally allowed to purchase my own pair of basketball shoes. Walking into Sport Chek as a young teenager I knew exactly what I wanted; good ankle support, some sturdy laces, and perhaps even my school colours (which was purple, so I wasn’t expecting...

Since we got back from the FIVB Club World Championships in Qatar, I’ve been asked many times about our trip, and it’s usually in passing so I say it was a great experience, which doesn’t do it justice. So, although it is impossible to explain it all in 600 words or less, here are some...
