…and also left residents who spent Reading Break on campus last weekend in the dark, as the first major power outage of the year lasted for over 24 hours. Director of Campus Services Paul Johnston assured that a new flag would be in place soon. In order to deal with future outages, the university has purchased a supplemental generator to provide light to communal passages in Fraser. “just enough to grope your way around”, said Johnston. He added that the university is working on a generator strategy so that, in a few years, more buildings will be lit during the inevitable outages.
